Mayor of Włochy district caught red-handed
He accepted PLN 200,000 in exchange for bribes, in return he issued decisions regarding building conditions in the Warsaw Włochy district. The money was given by a well-known Warsaw developer. The men will be charged in the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw.
The agents of the Regional Office of the CBA in Warsaw have detained two persons involved in a corruption practice. The mayor of Włochy district was caught red-handed, right after he accepted PLN 200,000 bribe. He took the money from a well-known developer and, at the same time, building contractor. The mayor tried to hide cash in a family-owned garage.
In exchange for bribes, the mayor issued administrative decisions favorable to the developer regarding development conditions. He also undertook dealing with similar decisions in other Warsaw offices. The findings of the investigation show that this was probably the next tranche accepted by the official. The officers searched the mayor's office and headquarters of companies owned by a businessman. Documentation, data carriers and binary copies were secured there, which will constitute evidence in the case. The men were taken to the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw.
