The owner of an animal feed plant charged

The fourth person faced charges in connection with the investigation conducted by the officers of the Regional Office of the CBA in Warsaw. The proceedings concern suspected irregularities in connection with the issuing of decisions approving a plant producing animal feed.

The officers of the Regional Office of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau in Warsaw and the District Prosecutor's Office in Radom have been carrying out an investigation into an abuse of powers by the former Mazowieckie Voivodship Veterinary Officer and the former Poviat Veterinary Officer in Grójec. It relates to the suspicion of irregularities in connection with the issuing of decisions approving the plant producing animal feed. As part of the proceedings, the owner of a food industry company, operating in the Mazowieckie Voivodship, faced charges of aiding and fraudulently certifying an untrue statement in a document for financial advantage. This is the fourth suspect in this investigation.

Previously, the CBA officers detained three individuals. Among them were the former Mazowieckie Voivodship Veterinary Officer and the former Poviat Veterinary Officer in Grójec, who were presented with charges of an abuse of powers and a failure to comply with their obligations. An employee of the Poviat Veterinary Inspection in Grójec was also detained on suspicion of having fraudulently certified an untrue statement in a document. The prosecutor applied preventive measures against the suspects, including a ban on performing duties in current positions.
