Former Minister of Transport detained for corruption and leading an organised crime group

The officers of the Regional Office of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau in Gdańsk have detained three persons suspected of corruption and operating within an organised crime group.

Among the detainees there are: Sławomir N. – former Member of Polish Parliament, former Minister of Transport and former head of the National Motor Road Service of Ukraine (Ukravtodor), Dariusz Z. – former commander of “GROM” Military Unit no. 2305, and Jacek P. – a businessman from Gdańsk.

The detainees will be brought to the Prosecutor’s Office, where they will be presented with charges. The investigation concerns suspicion of both – corruption and operating within an organised crime group.

The investigation is conducted jointly by the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau, District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw, Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office in Kiev and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.
