Reprivatisation - indictment against a Warsaw-based lawyer
The court received a bill of indictment against the capital's attorney Robert N. in connection with the CBA investigation into irregularities in the Warsaw reprivatisation.
The CBA Regional Office in Warsaw, under the supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Poznań, has conducted preparatory proceedings against Robert N. suspected of having committed a criminal offence of fraudulent reprivatisation of a Warsaw property. The evidence gathered in the course of the investigation gave rise to bringing an indictment before the District Court in Warsaw. The findings of the investigators indicate that the defendant's operation resulted in unfavourable disposal of property worth over PLN 9 million.
The officers of the CBA Regional Office in Warsaw are currently conducting about 50 investigations under the supervision of the prosecutor's office concerning criminal offences related to reprivatisation in Warsaw, which involve nearly 200 properties. Over 70 people have faces charges in connection with the proceedings.
