Opinion for a bribe. Court expert detained by the CBA
A court expert involved in a corruption scheme has been detained by the CBA officers of the Regional Office in Poznań.
As a result of planned and coordinated activities, the officers of the CBA Regional Office in Poznań have detained a court expert in the field of forestry, entered on the lists of district courts. The man was apprehended a moment after accepting the second tranche of the financial advantage which was to constitute the "remuneration" in exchange for giving a positive opinion in a civil case pending in the District Court in Poznań.
The detention took place on Monday afternoon, at a car park in front of a shopping centre in the capital.
The evidence gathered in the course of the investigation was submitted to the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw. There, the man was charged with corruption - demanding and then accepting a financial advantage in the form of money in the total amount of PLN 19 800 in return for issuing an opinion.
A bailout was applied against the suspect.
