A new thread of the so-called land drainage scandal
The CBA officers have searched 9 locations in the Małopolskie, Śląskie, Podkarpackie and Mazowieckie voivodships in connection with an investigation conducted jointly with the National Prosecutor's Office in Szczecin.
In connection with the investigation conducted under the supervision of the XI Regional Division for Combating Organised Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor's Office in Szczecin, the CBA officers have searched 9 locations on the territory of the Małopolskie, Śląskie, Podkarpackie and Mazowieckie voivodships. About 50 CBA officers from Szczecin, Białystok, Kraków, Rzeszów, Katowice and Warsaw took part in the activities. The operations covered both the places of residence of the natural persons and the business entities. The activities were carried out, among others, on the premises of the Polish Football Association, an entity providing economic consultancy services, and a Kraków-based property developer.
The activities are the result of searches conducted by the CBA officers in September of last year. At that time, extensive documentation was secured in connection with the investigation into the so-called drainage scandal, including at the main office of the Polish Football Association. The analysis of the collected documentation resulted in the identification of new threads related to the potential appropriation of part of the funds from sponsorship agreements.
The secured materials will be analysed in the course of the ongoing proceedings.
