Corruption in the army - more detainees

Three persons detained by the CBA officers have heard charges of giving financial advantages. It is the next stage of the investigation into corruption in the 6th Command Battalion in Krakow.

The officers of the CBA Regional Office in Kraków have detained three persons, entrepreneurs from Krakow and its vicinity. The activities are connected with an investigation into corruption in the 6th Command Battalion in Krakow, in which the main suspect is a former commander of this unit. So far, 31 people have been charged.

The proceedings have been conducted under the supervision of the Military Affairs Division of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Kraków.

In the years 2018-2020, the detainees allegedly provided financial advantages to Lt. Col. Marcin M., who, at that time, served as the commander of the 6th Command Battalion in Kraków. The practice involved cooperation between private partnerships and entities belonging to the detainees and the 6th Command Battalion in Kraków mainly in the field of organisation of celebrations and events with the participation of the army.

The prosecutor presented corruption charges against the detainees and applied non-custodial preventive measures against them.

Due to the developmental character of the investigation and new motives appearing in it - further detentions to this case are not excluded.
