Acting Director of the Supreme Audit Office (NIK) Regional Branch in Warsaw detained by the CBA
The Acting Director of the NIK Regional Branch in Warsaw has been detained by the CBA. The investigation has been carried out under the supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Białystok.
The officers of the CBA Regional Office in Kraków, under the supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Białystok, have been carrying out an investigation into the submission of fraudulent asset declarations by a person holding a public function. This morning in Warsaw, by order of the prosecutor's office, another person was detained for this case - the acting director of the Regional Branch of the Supreme Audit Office in Warsaw, Beata O.
The woman will be taken to the prosecutor's office, where she will face charges. The evidence gathered in the course of the investigators' activities indicates a suspicion of having submitted false testimonies and incitement to abuse powers.
In July of the last year, the CBA detained the director of the Tax Chamber in Kraków and a social adviser to the President of the Supreme Audit Office.
