Invoking influence as part of an ongoing investigation. CBA’s detentions

The CBA has detained a lawyer from Radom and a boxing promoter. The investigation pertains influence peddling. By a court decision, the detainees will spend the next three months in custody.

The CBA Regional Office in Szczecin, under the supervision of the West Pomeranian Local Division Department for Organized Crime and Corruption at the National Prosecutor's Office in Szczecin, has been investigating invoking influence and confirming the conviction of the existence of such influence.

It has been established that the detainees attempted to extort over PLN 500,000 in exchange for a favourable decision for the identified person in the conducted preparatory proceedings.

Officers of the CBA Regional Office in Szczecin have detained two persons -  a lawyer from Radom and a boxing promoter. After being brought to the West Pomeranian Local Division Department for Organized Crime and Corruption at the National Prosecutor's Office in Szczecin, both detainees were charged with invoking influence and attempting to commit fraud against property of significant value.

The court granted the prosecution's request for temporary custody against both detainees.

The CBA officers in Szczecin searched at the same time a number of places related to the disclosure of the main and side threads of the ongoing investigation.
