Head of Kołobrzeg Commune, entrepreneur and director of pharmaceutical company detained by CBA
PLN 300,000 bribe for favourable changes in the land development plan. Three persons detained by the CBA.
Officers of the CBA Regional Office in Szczecin detained the head of the Kolobrzeg Commune, a director of a large pharmaceutical company and a Wrocław entrepreneur moments after having accepted a financial gain of PLN 300,000. The activities were carried out in the vicinity of Wrocław.
The detainees were taken to the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Szczecin where they faced corruption charges. The investigators' findings indicate that the bribe was accepted in exchange for favourable changes to the land development plan.
The Prosecutor's Office submitted a request to the District Court for the two suspects - the commune head and the director of the pharmaceutical company - to be placed under temporary custody. The court granted the prosecution's request.
