Two persons detained by the CBA for invoking influence at the Wrocław City Hall

As part of the investigation supervised by the District Prosecutor's Office in Jelenia Góra, officers of the CBA Regional Office in Wrocław have detained two residents of Wrocław suspected of invoking influence in the Wrocław City Hall and acting as intermediaries in arranging administrative matters related to a real estate belonging to the Wrocław Commune. For arranging these matters, they demanded that they be given material advantages in the form of money.

Moreover, as part of the activities carried out, several places in Wrocław were searched, including the places of residence of the detainees. The activities were also conducted in the City Hall of Wrocław and in the Municipal Resource Management Board, a budgetary unit of Wrocław Commune, where documentation and electronic data of evidential significance for the investigation were secured.

The detained persons were brought to the prosecutor's office, where they heard charges of invoking influence in the City Hall of Wrocław in exchange for the promise of financial gains. The suspects face a prison sentence of up to eight years.

At the request of the District Prosecutor's Office in Jelenia Góra, the local court imposed a two-month custody order on one of the suspects. Preventive measures in the form of a property surety of PLN 10,000, a ban on leaving the country, and a ban on contacting specific persons were applied against the other suspect.
