Detentions in PKP S.A.
Agents from the Regional Office of the CBA in Warsaw detained 5 suspects in the case of causing significant property damage to the PKP SA company by concluding in May 2016 by the rail company with one of Warsaw's companies unfavorable contract for 1 900 000 zł net. The contract concerned the implementation of the prevention in the scope of risks of terrorism bombing under preparations for World Youth Day.
Regional Office of the CBA in Warsaw, under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw, conducts an investigation of significant property damage in company Polskie Koleje Państwowe S.A. (Polish State Railways SA) in Warsaw. The proceeding relates to misuse of powers and breach of duty in 2016 by persons obliged to deal with the financial affairs of the company Polskie Koleje Państwowe S.A. in Warsaw. According to the findings of investigators in May 2016, PKP S.A. concluded with one of Warsaw's companies unfavorable contract for 1 900 000 zł net covering the implementation of prevention measures in the field of bomb terrorism threats .
This morning, the CBA agents detained five suspects in this investigation: Director of the Security Bureau of the PKP SA, the owner of the Warsaw company implementing the contract, Major from the Government Protection Bureau, the president of another company in the industry of protection of business and an employee from PKP SA.
Earlier the CBA agents searched the offices of PKP SA in Warsaw and the Warsaw company which was supposed to implement the contract. The documentation related to the conclusion of the disputed contract was secured.
Further searches in the workplaces, apartments and places of stay of the detainees are underway.
