CBA: The head of the SRK (Mine Restructuring Company) detained

Marek C. in the hands of the CBA, the Katowice National Prosecutor's Office presented him charges of bribery. The man accepted a few thousand PLN. In exchange for favoring one of the Silesian mine-related companies, he was given a car and a fuel card.

Another part of the investigation into corruption in the Mine Restructuring Company. Agents from the Regional Office of the CBA in Katowice detained Mark C., the head of the mine liquidation monitoring team at the Mine Restructuring Company. The Silesian Terrain Division of Department for Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor's Office in Katowice presented the detained person with corruption charges. Marek C. in exchange for bribes favored one of the private mine-related companies, making it easier for the company to obtain contracts related to the decommissioning of mines owned by the SRK.

In addition, officers from Katowice searched the apartments of persons family-related to  the detained man. As it turned out, these people were running companies, that worked together with a private mine-related company.

During the investigation, our agents determined, that Marek C. accepted several thousand PLN bribes and was given a car with a fuel card, which he used for over 10 months. The car was worth over 180 thousand PLN, and refueled fuel over 16 thousand PLN.

At the request of the Silesian National Prosecutor's Office, the man was put for three months into custody by a court decision.
