He invoked influences, was detained
Agents from the Regional Office of the CBA in Gdańsk detained Jan W., who in return for a bribe committed a crime of paid protection. He demanded 50 thousand PLN. He was charged at the District Prosecutor's Office in Gdańsk.
Investigators from the CBA's Regional Office in Gdańsk detained a man, who invoked influences in the Tax Office in Koscierzyna and claimed to have acquaintanceship with one of the bailiffs there.
The detainee undertook mediation in the settlement of the case in the Tax Office in return for 50 thousand PLN. In this case the officers also searched the bailiff's apartment and his office in the Tax Office. At this location they secured documents related to the case.
During the investigation, the agents from the CBA determined that Jan W. had promised the local businessman to fix favorable for him settling in the ongoing enforcement proceedings in the Kosovo Tax Office. The detained man in return demanded from the entrepreneur 50 thousand PLN. However, in the final settlement he was satisfied with 10,000 PLN. The District Prosecutor's Office in Gdańsk charged the detained man with paid protection crime.
