CBA: "Podkarpackie scandal". Detention.
Bogusław P. - former chief of deputy office of Jan B. was detained by agents from the Regional Office of the CBA in Rzeszów on corruption charges. The suspect was detained in a house near Dębica.
In the Silesian Terrain Division of the National Prosecutor's Office detained by the CBA, Bogusław P. has faced supplemented charges connected with the receipt of financial benefit of substantial value of 700 thousand PLN from Marian D. former owner and president of the fuel company.
According to investigation’s findings, in the period October 2007 - May 2008, with intention, jointly and in agreement with Jan B. (back then the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Treasury and the deputy to the Parliament of the Republic of Poland), Bogusław P. accepted from the businessman Marian D. a promise of a financial benefit of 1 million PLN, and then received a financial benefit of 700 thousand PLN in exchange for, inter alia, taking up mediation in the establishment of preferential commercial relations between the businessman's company and a state-owned company, and for exerting influence on the president of that state-owned company to issue financially beneficial transactions for the company represented by Marian D. Another charge presented to the detained by the CBA concerns the acceptance of another financial benefit by Bogusław P.
Bogusław P. at the request of the Silesian Terrain Department of Department for Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor's Office in Katowice, and by the court decision was put into custody for three months.
