CBA at the conference "Opportunity Ukraine"

Deputy Head of the CBA Grzegorz Ocieczek took part in the conference "Opportunity Ukraine" in London, devoted to reforms in Ukraine. The meeting was co-organized by the governments of Great Britain and Ukraine.

Deputy head of the CBA Grzegorz Ocieczek - assistant professor of the Cardinal Wyszyński University took part in the anti-corruption panel to express support for the National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine, which creation was one of the elements of anti-corruption reform in Ukraine. Both services have a very fruitful cooperation, which is based on the signed bilateral agreement.

Polish Central Anticorruption Bureau and National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine in the previous year signed a memorandum of cooperation. This is the first such agreement which NABU has concluded with another foreign anticorruption service. The National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine was established in 2014, and it was established on foregoing experience of the CBA.

In the conference "Opportunity Ukraine" also took part the representatives of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman and heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlov Klimkin, Great Britain Boris Johnson, Canada Christ Freeland and representatives of EU, NATO and G7 governments.

According to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs information, the progress of the ambitious reform project has been noted in the final communiqué of the conference, and the full support of the assembled states has been highlighted.
