3 detainees. The fictitious real estate trading - the basis for the extortion of millions of VAT
The CBA officers from the Regional Office of the CBA in Łódź detained three businessmen. Detentions took place in Warsaw and in Legionowo.
During the investigation, carried out under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office in Piotrków Trybunalski, it was determined that the suspects were involved in a chain of fictitious transactions that served only to underestimate the tax at the expense of the State Treasury.
The companies were selling themselves one and the same property (located in the Bełchatów district) with an actual value of about 1 million PLN, while in transactions its value was artificially inflated - even up to 24 times in the first contract of this organized chain.
As a result of the procedure, only in the first case, the seller of the real estate has led to the depletion of VAT for 4.3 million PLN, and the buyer has still tried to get back 4.6 million PLN tax to his company. However, the return was foiled by services.
When the property was sold to a new owner, that is to the next company, its declared value was already much lower, a little over 7 million PLN. In this case, the State Treasury due to the depletion of the tax lost 1 million 380 thousand PLN.
Detained by the CBA will be brought to the Prosecutor's Office where they will hear charges.
