President of the city of Żyrardów and businessmen detained by the CBA
Agents from the CBA Regional Office in Warsaw detained the President of Żyrardów and two entrepreneurs from the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, from Rewal and Gryfice. The case concerns the violation of powers by a public official and the tender rigging for over 1.5 million zł for the sale of a real estate in Rewal, which is the property of the Commune of Żyrardów and real property in the perpetual usufruct of Żyrardów. On these grounds, close to the beach, earlier there was a holiday resort of the city.
The CBA officers are searching a dozen or so places, among others, the office of the president and offices in the City Hall and the places of residence and business activity of the detained persons.
The President of Żyrardów and businessmen detained by the CBA will be charged in the District Prosecutor's Office in Ostrów Wielkopolski.
The investigation is multithreaded. Activities are ongoing.
