More detainees in the investigation concerning the former senator of the Republic of Poland
Three persons have been detained by the CBA. These are the new threads of the investigation which has been conducted since 2015, in connection with which earlier former Polish senator Józef P. and Jarosław W., senator's assistant, have been detained.
The officers of the Regional Office of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau in Wrocław have detained three entrepreneurs from the Lower and Upper Silesia. All of them are involved in a corrupt dealings regarding invoking influences in public institutions in return for a material benefit in the form of different amounts of money. This is a new thread in this investigation which has been conducted since 2015. This time it is about giving material benefits or their promise to Jaroslaw W., invoking influences in Wroclaw public institutions, in exchange for his "help" in settling various matters carried out in government offices.
Earlier, as part of the ongoing investigation, CBA agents detained fourteen people, including the former senator of the 8th term Józef P. and his assistant - Jaroslaw W.
All persons detained by the CBA will be transferred to the Terrain Division of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor's Office in Poznań, where they will be charged.
