Corruption in public procurements for over 30 million zlotys. 11 persons detained by the CBA
11 persons have been detained by the officers of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau in connection with the case of public procurements worth over 30 million zlotys, carried out for Poczta Polska
The officers of the Regional Office of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau in Warsaw have detained 11 persons, including 2 persons related to the activity of a Warsaw IT company, 5 employees of Poczta Polska and persons linked by business and family ties with the detained representatives of Poczta. At the same time, agents of the CBA conduct searches in dozens of places, including apartments of the detainees, offices of Poczta Polska and the company implementing orders, as well as places linked to the detained persons.
The activities were carried out in connection with the investigation conducted by the CBA together with the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw. The proceedings concern the implementation of public procurement for Poczta Polska worth over 30 million zlotys in exchange for material benefits received by representatives of Poczta in the amount of at least 300,000 zlotys.
The detainees will be charged in the Prosecutor’s Office.
The case is multifacetedand developmental. Further detentions are planned.
