Corruption at Warsaw Municipal Water and Sewage Enterprise (MPWiK)
Suspicion of accepting bribes in exchange for the awarding of tenders for the company from Silesia. 3 persons detained by officers of the CBA from Warsaw.
The officers of the Regional Office of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau in Warsaw have detained a Director of the Support Division in Municipal Water and Sewage Enterprise in Warsaw, as well as two entrepreneurs-partners of a company from Silesia.
The activities were carried out with regard to the suspicion of accepting at least 50,000 zlotys by the detained director in connection with public procurements implemented for MPWiK.
At the moment, searches are being carried out, among others, in the detainees’ places of residence, the Municipal Water and Sewage Enterprise in Warsaw and the headquarters of the company for the benefit of which the orders were awarded.
All detainees will be transferred to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw, where they will be charged.
The case is multithreaded and developmental.
