Former Police officer promised to settle a matter in exchange for PLN 100 thousand
Former Police officer has been detained by the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau moment after receiving the first tranche of bribe. He is to be charged in District Prosecutor’s Office in Gdańsk.
The officers of the Regional Office of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau in Gdańsk have detained a representative of a local security firm, former Police officer moment after receiving PLN 50 thousand as the first tranche of promised material benefit. Money, packed in plastic bag, were handed over at the parking site in Gdańsk. As it has been established by the agents of the CBA, the detainee asserted to have influence in Police Central Command and in exchange for PLN 100 thousand took on intercession in settling a matter within criminal proceedings.
The officers searched the former officer’s place of work and place of residence. Documentation, data carriers and binary copies were secured there, which will constitute evidence in the case. Collected evidence material and detainee are to be transferred to District Prosecutor’s Office in Gdańsk.
