Detained for the second time in connection with the case of corruption at the Warsaw waterworks

The officers of the Regional Office of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau in Warsaw have detained three persons in connection with an investigation regarding corruption at the Warsaw Municipal Water and Sewage Enterprise (MPWiK). Among the detainees are: Wiesław M., a former Director of the Support Division at MPWiK, Jacek M. a former manager in this department and Rafał T. a former stakeholder of a Silesian company. Both Wiesław M. and Rafał T. are detained in this case for the second time after the court's repeal of the pre-trial detention.

At the same time, searches are being carried out in the places of residence of detained persons and places of residence of persons participating in tenders carried out by MPWiK in Warsaw. Activities take place in Katowice, Wrocław, Białystok, Płock and around Warsaw.

The proceedings are conducted under the supervision of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw. The detainees will be charged there.

The activities carried out today are related to the suspicion of acting to the detriment of MPWiK in Warsaw and other bidders during the implementation of public procurement.
