The CBA controls the company TAURON Wydobycie (Extraction)
On 21 October 2019 the officers of the Regional Office of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau in Katowice initiated an control at TAURON Wydobycie S.A. (Tauron Extraction), a company belonging to the TAURON Capital Group. Sector public procurement related to mining excavations and underground mining of hard coal deposits are being controlled.
The TAURON Capital Group is one of the largest business entities in Poland, with equity of approximately PLN 18 billion. This group controls about 20 percent of Polish hard coal resources.
The planned date of completion of the control is 21 January 2020.
