Corruption allegations against a former senator

The officers of the Regional Office of the CBA in Krakow are conducting proceedings regarding mediation in settling matters in exchange for financial benefits, as well as invoking influences in state and local government institutions of the Małopolska voivodeship and granting financial benefits to persons performing public functions in connection with their functions. To date, 24 suspects have heard allegations.
Today, three persons have been detained in this investigation, including the former senator of the Republic of Poland of the eighth term, his son and director of the Malopolska branch of the State Funds for the Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons. Everyone will be taken to the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Katowice, where they will hear corruption charges - the former senator and his son will hear, among others, allegations of accepting multimillion bribes, while the director of PFRON will hear the allegation of giving financial benefits in the form of contracts concluded with the Foundation for People with Disabilities in Stróże.
