Caught red-handed by the CBA
Two businessmen have been caught red-handed by the officers of the Regional Office of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau in Łódź.
The case pertains to relying on influence in the Municipal Office in Żywiec, among others.
One of the detainees accepted a bribe of PLN 10,000 in exchange for mediation in settling positive administrative decisions.
The businessman who gave the bribe planned to carry out a construction project in the district of Żywiec. The man who received the advantage, relying on influence, undertook to arrange the issuance or the acceleration of the issuance of the construction permit. He also promised to interfere with the land development plan.
Immediately after accepting the money, the men were detained by the CBA officers.
The case is being investigated by the Katowice-South District Prosecutor's Office.
