The CBA has broken up a group which caused damage to a listed company in the amount of PLN 90 million.

The Central Anti-Corruption Bureau has detained, among others, a businessman Ryszard K., and former MP Roman G.

The detentions are related to the investigation conducted by the CBA Regional Office in Wrocław, under the supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Poznań, into activities to the detriment of a company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

The evidence gathered by the CBA indicates that the detainees took part in an organised procedure consisting in taking money out of the company as well as appropriating and laundering money. The damage to the property exceeds PLN 90 million.

The detainees will be taken to the prosecutor's office where they will face charges of acting to the detriment of the company, misappropriation of property, and money laundering. The case is ongoing and further detentions are being planned.
