Control of the implementation of the project titled "Conservation repairs and modernisation of the exhibition in selected historic buildings of the Nadwiślańskie Museum in Kazimierz Dolny" concluded with the issuing of a post-audit review

The officers of the Control Proceedings Division of the CBA Regional Office in Lublin have examined selected procedures for making and executing decisions related to the preparation and implementation of the project titled "Conservation repairs and modernisation of the exhibition in selected historic buildings of the Nadwiślańskie Museum in Kazimierz Dolny”. The audit covered the years 2015-2021. The activities were conducted from 24 May 2021 to 21 February 2022.

In the course of the audit, irregularities were revealed, consisting, among others, in the acceptance of the project documentation despite its errors, which resulted in the necessity to carry out additional works, causing the temporary suspension of the investment and finding additional funds of over PLN 12 million for its completion. Moreover, the cost estimates included additional and replacement works that were inconsistent with the agreement, the contractor's bid and price lists, which resulted in overestimating the value of additional works by at least PLN 158 thousand.

In connection with the disclosed irregularities, on 4 April 2022, the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau submitted post-audit reviews containing post-audit recommendations to the Marshal of the Lubelskie Voivodeship and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
